When I started to develop an idea for a blog, certain ideas kept coming to mind over and over again. What I didn't realize until I saw a friend's philosophy was that these were my philosophy. The things that I felt were important enough to write about.
I believe that business is made up of a lot of things; passion, knowledge, an ability to change and adapt over time, to name a few. These are a few of the things that I believe and what drive me to write this blog and to help drive me in business.
- Everyone needs a marketing plan whether it's for yourself or your company
- Marketing doesn't need to come out of a text book, it can be creative and fun
- Best Practices are great, but might not be the best for everyone
- Small businesses are huge in the minds of their owners
- Learning should be an on-going process, it doesn't stop the day you graduate from high school or college
- Great ideas come from everywhere, don't count anything out
- To get an answer from someone, you must first ask them a question
- Passion and business are not mutually exclusive things. Some of the best business owners are extremely passionate
- No idea is stupid, poor implementation of a good idea is
- Not everyone is great at everything, sometimes you need a little professional help (and I don't mean a shrink)
- Working hard should always be a top priority
- Be thankful for your successes and learn from your failures
- Being positive will show through in your work
- Prepare for the worst and hope for the best
- Never, never, never give up (Thank you Winston Churchill)
Happy Marketing!
